New Work

Recently I’ve been working on two series of drawings. Both series are made with drawing ink applied with a brush over pencil on Mohawk Superfine Cover (eggshell) paper.

Inspired by the statement “I agree to pay” found under the signature line on a credit card receipt, these drawings—so far shown in pairs or in an ambiguous fan shape --play with the tension between written language and the language of drawing.

In this series (26 x 40") about memory and morality, layers that often include recognizable images float above and around colorful diagrams of each side of the human brain.
